In a Heartbeat!

A couple of months ago, through the web it came up the trailer of an animated short film with a gay theme that since the beginning captivated us and left us wanting for more. If you like movies and you are pro LGBT, you are going to love this short film.

Earlier this month we could finally see the full story of two little boys that found love. In just 5 days it reached 20 million views, something not any movie can boast!

In a heartbeat was created by two animation students from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida: the American Beth David and the Mexican Esteban Bravi. The project was done for their careers thesis. The subject it addresses has brought much controversy, not anybody dares to show homosexuality in children and sexual preferences at such a short age.

“Our goal was to send a message of love and acceptance for those children who feel they don’t fit in within the sexual pattern set by society, making the world to see that everyone since childhood, has every right to love and to choose the person they want to be with and shouldn’t be afraid of it” said Beth.

We know you want to know more about it, so here it is. Everything happens at school, when a red-haired little boy named Sherwin falls in love at first sight with his classmate, his heart beats so hard that is inevitable to go after Jonathan. The story has its bumps, as always, but nothing that love can't solve.

Something that is interesting about this short film is that it is has no dialogues at all, and it is not necessary because the musicalization does an excellent job. The work is quite good actually, and it is supported by the acceptance at more than twenty film festivals. You have to watch it!

With only 4 minutes long, the romance between these two little boys has managed to “enamor” millions, and it’s because we can't deny it, everybody aims to have a love story like this.
